If the sun won’t kiss your hair, MJ will! MJ is a 2020 graduate of the Aveda Institute of New Mexico and is in love with the cosmetology industry. She has always loved playing with hair, but what inspired her to make it a career is the fulfillment that comes from making people feel beautiful. MJ loves working at Lavish because of the amazing team and the salons dedication to continued education. She has also taught some of her own classes, and loves sharing her knowledge with fellow creatives. MJ strives to be a well rounded stylist, but she currently specializes in lived-in color and extensions. She can’t wait to see you in her chair and work with you to achieve your hair goals.

MJ is a cat mama of two spooky fur babies, Mika and Paisley. She’s also a big sister to 5 amazing boys. She was born in New Mexico but has also lived in Colorado, Michigan, and Texas. She is obsessed with all things 80’s, with a Duckie Dale portrait on her arm to prove it. MJ loves to talk about music, true crime documentaries, and mystery novels. When she’s not in the salon, she’s probably at home snuggling with the kitties, spending quality time with her family, or somewhere listening to The Cure.
